学习内容：Part B  Let’s talk; Let’s play

本单元讨论的主要内容是有关天气的表达方法。本节课主要内容是学习温度的表达方法以及对前几节课谈论天气语句和单词的复习与巩固。

学情分析：

四年级的学生已经具备了一定的听说能力，对英语的学习保持着一定的兴趣。在Part A 的学习基础上，学生更自信并感觉到学有所用，三年级下册已经接触过How about …及其答语。他们的记忆力好，形象思维好，但缺乏理性思维，逻辑思维不强，他们坐不住，坐不久。

学习目标：

1、能在情境中运用What's the weather like in New York?     It’s... and...How about...?Is it...in...?谈论天气。

2、明白华氏度和摄氏度单位的不同。

3、教育学生热爱大自然，关爱环境，保护我们的地球。

教学重点：

能灵活运用所学句型What's the weather like in New York?  How about Beijing? It’s...与人简单谈论天气。

教学难点：

在情境中理解degree的意思。

It's ...degrees的表达。

教学过程：

一、Warm up

1、Review the words about the weather.

2、说唱weather歌谣What’s the weather like，rainy...

利用歌谣最后一句What's the weather like in Beijing?What’s the weather like in New York?引入学习。

二、Presentation

1、教师提问：What’s the weather like in New York? Chen Jie has a friend from New York. Look , they are talking on the phone.Let’s watch the video and choose.

Chen Jie’s  friend’s name is        .

They are talking about the     .  

A. animals  B. weather  C travelling (旅游)

2、Watch the video again and answer the question:What's the weather like in New York?

3、Pair work: read the dialogue and answer.

How about Beijing? Is Beijing cold? (How do you know that?)

Mark thinks Beijing is warm,but Chen Jie thinks Beijing is cold.Why is that?出示华氏和摄氏单位的不同。(播放视频展示两个概念的不同)

3、播放Let’s talk部分录音，学生跟读（注意语音、语调）。

4、Pair work:学生两人一组，分别扮演Chen Jie和Mark，按照课本进行朗读对话。（教师在此过程中注意纠正学生的发音与语气，且对表现好的一组进行适当奖励。）

三、Practice

1. Let’s act表演(在板书的提示下)

看书能表演出来。Good!

不看书，声音响亮、发音正确。 Great!

加上适当的动作表情和道具， 自然地表演出来。Wonderful!

2、Group work（Let’s play）

小组间通过“打电话”问出互相知道城市的天气状况。

A:I’m in...It’s..degrees in ...It’s ...in...What’s the weather like in …?/How about …?/Is it...in...?

 B: Hi, …, this is …, it’s …, it’s …degrees.   A: It’s …, it’s … degrees.

四、Consolidation and Extension

找两位同学播报天气预报。The earth is our home. We should protect the environment well.

五、Homework:

a.Watch the weather forcast and say it in English.

b.Log on the net and search songs, poems, proverbs about weather then make a weather poster.
